Mat Sharafyan is an inventor and tech entrepreneur with over a decade of experience at the intersection of AI, data science, and human communication. He is the CEO and Co-Founder of Hecttor, a Silicon Valley – based Voice AI company shaping the future of speech understanding and clarity in real time.
At Hecttor, Mat leads a global team pioneering the world’s first real-time speech speed adjustment engine – a technology redefining how people and machines understand each other across languages and accents. His work bridges AI, linguistics, and cognitive science, advancing a new era of clarity and inclusion in digital communication.
Beyond Hecttor, he serves on the Scientific Advisory Board of the International Neurodegenerative Disorders Research Center (INDRC) and previously held senior analytical roles at HSBC Bank and the State Revenue Committee of Armenia.
Mat holds a Master’s in Applied Data Science from the University of Michigan and a Master’s in Economics from the American University of Armenia, graduating summa cum laude from both.
