Patrick Er is the Chief People and Transformation Officer (CPTO) at Maxis. With nearly three decades of experience in business leadership, he is at the forefront of driving Maxis’ transformation agenda—integrating customer experience excellence with human capital strategy to build a future-ready, customer-centric organisation. He is also pivotal in aligning customer experience with employee experience, ensuring that Maxis delivers meaningful and consistent value across all touchpoints. Under his leadership, Maxis has earned multiple prestigious awards in CX and Contact Centre excellence, including Platinum for Best Contact Centre Operations, APAC region by CC-APAC, reflecting its commitment to delivering world-class customer service.
Prior to this, Patrick served as Maxis’ Chief Sales & Services Officer (CSSO), where he oversaw a broad portfolio including retail and contact centre operations, nation-wide sales and distribution, fibre infrastructure, customer experience and credit and collections. His leadership was instrumental in elevating service standards and operational efficiency, contributing to Maxis’ reputation for customer excellence.
Patrick’s experience spans across engineering, technical, commercial and product roles at Intel, Digi and Hong Leong Bank. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Michigan Technological University, an MBA from the University of Newcastle, and is a graduate of INSEAD’s Advanced Management Programme.
